Ah, Valentine’s Day…

Last night I went with my fellow Canadians Corey and Joyce to this place called Sneaky Pete’s (not quite a replacement for my Sneaky Dee’s, as I had hoped, but still cool). First up was the Glasgow band, How To Swim, who, according to my counting, has 9 members, including trombone, trumpet, flute/sax, and violin.

Snowed again last night. It was rather pretty though. And acceptable temperature.

Sunshine

Ah, woke up this morning with the sun shining beautifully onto me. Was nice out in the sun but otherwise a bit windy and chilly in the shade. I went to the National Galleries of Scotland with Amanda (fellow Ryersonian). It was neat - saw Diana and Actaeon by Titian, which they bought recently for £50 million. Ouch. Can’t say I know much about Titian, or pretty much fine art in general, but wow. Lotta money. Read the rest of this entry »

Analogue Books …

Whilst out wandering again today, I came upon this cute little book shop called Analogue Books, full of cool books about art, design, typography, etc. I took a mental note of the titles of some books to look up on the internets later (for er, cheaper prices, but really so), but I can’t remember what the one is called … looks like I’ll have to go back, and maybe spend some money.
