St. Patrick’s Day began at like 4:00 in the morning. To get on the bus at 5:40, get to the airport at 6 and left at 8 am. We got into Dublin (admittedly, our bus ride to the bus station didn’t make Dublin look too good). We made our way to the hotel (couldn’t check [...]

It was so nice out today that Lya and I decided to climb Arthur’s Seat. It was a nice stroll until we went up this part we thought would be a leisurely climb but turned out to be quite muddy and then steep, ha, oh well. But made me realize how out of shape I [...]

Went to a rugby match this past Saturday. Scotland vs. Italy. It was confusing (and sadly a bit boring) because we didn’t know what was going on. Even took me a bit to figure out which one was Scotland (why does Italy wear blue?) But it was still good times. Corey, Joyce and I got [...]

So I haven’t updated in like two weeks. Oops.
Pancake Tuesday was buts days ago and I gathered with some fellow Canadians for pancakes, sausages and HAggis (well, I didn’t eat it).

Pancakes here are rather strange. More like crepes. At least when we tried to make them, ha. Also, they came with Golden Syrup:

No Canadian [...]

Ah, so nice today. Felt like a Canadian April. I went to the National Gallery of Modern Art. Had a really cool landscaped lawn out front. On days other than today you can apparently walk on it.

Had lunch from the museum cafe out on the patio, so nice. I think I could’ve fallen [...]

Last night I went with my fellow Canadians Corey and Joyce to this place called Sneaky Pete’s (not quite a replacement for my Sneaky Dee’s, as I had hoped, but still cool). First up was the Glasgow band, How To Swim, who, according to my counting, has 9 members, including trombone, trumpet, flute/sax, and violin.

Snowed again last night. It was rather pretty though. And acceptable temperature.

Earlier today. Most of last night’s snow has disappeared, but still some left. Arthur’s Seat looks pretty. I still haven’t climbed it, maybe when it’s a little less snowy.

Whilst out wandering again today, I came upon this cute little book shop called Analogue Books, full of cool books about art, design, typography, etc. I took a mental note of the titles of some books to look up on the internets later (for er, cheaper prices, but really so), but I can’t remember what [...]
